In this tournament a special tie-breaker
was in effect to compensate for the effect
of Swiss-system paring in a tournament with
a small number of participants. It applies
to the players in the lead with an equal
number of points(P). Only results against
mutual opponents and the game among themselves
counted for SB. Ruffian has 41.50 SB. The
King has 38.75 SB. Buchholz (sum of opponent)
points were discarded.
The participants elected this tie-breaker
method (in Dutch):
Tijdens het toernooi spraken de deelnemers
zich uit voor het volgende voorstel, waarbij
aangetekend moet worden, dat het onderlinge
resultaat natuurlijk wel meetelt.
Voorstel 2: WP wordt buiten beschouwing gelaten.
Hebben de gelijk geëindigden niet dezelfde
tegenstanders gehad, dan worden voor het
berekenen van de SB alleen die tegenstanders
meegenomen waartegen men allebei gespeeld
heeft (oftewel de tegenstanders die niet
tegen allebei gespeeld hebben, worden uit
de SB berekening verwijderd). Deze SB is
bepalend.
Indien na de toepassing van het voorgaande
de volgorde nog niet bepaald kan worden,
dan wordt er twee ronden gevluggerd, waarbij
beiden één keer wit en één keer zwart hebben,
met een bedenktijd van 10 minuten per programma
per partij.
